Make-to-stock:
Manufacturers that serve customers directly (or through distributors) from finished goods inventory. PMTrack ERP includes all options regarding keeping inventory in the distribution system; either at distributors, wholesalers or retailers. Product in the factory is produced as per ‘own’ specification and forecasting of demand is done by the manufacturer itself.
Assemble-to-order:
Manufacturers that combine a number of preassembled modules to meet a customer’s specifications. In PMTrack ERP the primary task is to define a customer’s order in terms of alternative components or BOM since these are to be carried in inventory. Forecasting is required in the ERP for parts and sub-assemblies
Make-to-order:
Make the product as per customer’s specifications from raw materials, parts, and components. ERP is selected for special feature of deriving the exact material requirements using MRP algorithm and the Bill of Materials (BOM). The complexity is increased with wider range products and lower individual product volume per month. Your customers may sometimes give open orders with weekly schedules.
Engineer-to-order:
